Elda Richardson

September 10, 1917May 19, 2018

Elda Richardson was welcomed into Heaven Saturday, May 19, 2018 and was greeted by her Lord and Savior, along with her husband, Irvin W. Richardson, daughters Bonnie Sue Richardson and Lois J. Awe, sons-in-law, Glen C. Huber, Robert Anderson, and Robert Awe. She worked at various places in Marengo including Levin Dry Goods, Florence Nursing Home, Shady Lane Farm, and Marengo Community High School. Covenant Baptist Church was blessed with the service she and her husband contributed. She was a three term Deaconess, taught Awana’s, and worked in the nursery. Everyone enjoyed her pies and potato salad. She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis J. Huber and Marie (Jerry) Inkrote; her sons, Raymond (Angela) Richardson and Ronald (Dawn) Richardson; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Her family would like to extend their appreciation to JourneyCare, Pastor Randy, Social Worker Aaron, her nurses, Tonya, Patty, Jeanne, her CNAs, Sheila, Jessica, Maddison, Scarlet, and Christina; and a very special thank you to Della Mickus. We could not have asked for more support. Visitation will be from 10am to the 11am funeral service on Friday, May 25 at Marengo United Methodist Church, 119 E Washington St, Marengo. Interment will be in McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock. Memorials may be made to JourneyCare Hospice. Online condolences may be made at
