He was born March 20, 1939 in Winona, Minnesota to James and Marie Wilson. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. In June of 1982 he married Susan Wagner and they were happily married for 40 years.
Jim loved watching sports, especially the Cubs and Notre Dame. He worked as an over the road truck driver for most of his career. Jim had a passion for genealogy. His faith was a guiding force in his life. He hoped that everyone he loved would come to know the love of Jesus.
Jim is survived by his children, Carla, Michael, Kevin and Scott, and his step-children, Scott and Natalie. He is also survived by many grandchildren, including Miranda, Keaton, Riley, Emma and Nathaniel; and his brother, Ron Wilson.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; his siblings, David and Tim Wilson.
There will be a gathering from 10am to 11am on Saturday, March 22 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy, Marengo. A memorial service will follow at 11am.
