She was born March, 1928 in Cincinnati, OH to Clifford and Jeannette G Brandt. On Sept.24 1948 she married Henry Riechers.
She began working at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library in 1968, establishing a career that would last over 20 years. Jeannette helped to organize Shelter, Inc. in 1972 to provide emergency care for abused and neglected minors. After retirement, Jeannette was a founding member of the Book Women of McHenry County for 30 years. Some of Jeannette's passions were antiquing, gardening, and keeping up with current politics.
Jeannette is survived by her sons, Keith (Nancy) and Dale (Julie) Riechers; her grandchildren, Lutoria Hebert (Phil Anthony), Ashley Faith Riechers, Matthew Riechers (Hali), and Justin Riechers; her great-grandchildren, Noelle, Corinne, and Philip III; her sister, Elsie Oliver.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
