Jene M.P. Burno

Jene Michael Pollow Burno passed away suddenly on May 14, 2015. He was born December 3, 1970 to James V. & Judith M. (nee Tveit) Burno and lived in Union until he married Kendra Paige Epping on October 1, 1994 and moved to Genoa.

He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him.

He enjoyed working several years at Woodstock Auto Body & had been a dedicated U.S. Postal employee for more than 15 years. He enjoyed working on cars, spending any free time boating & fishing with his family up north at their “home away from home” on the lake. He was a self taught “Mr. Fix-it Man”, his friends and family came to rely upon him to help with all of their projects. He enjoyed autocross with his dream car and rehabbing houses with his wife and kids.

He is survived by his wife Kendra; sons J & Michael; parents Jim & Judy; father-in-law Hugh Epping; grandpa Burno; brothers: John, Joel and Jeffrey (Lori); his niece and nephews; great nieces and great nephew, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother-in-law, several uncles and one niece.

Visitation will be Wed, May 20 from 4-9 pm at Marengo-Union funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy. Marengo and will continue from 10 am Thurs, May 21 until time of service at 11 am at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 6821 S. Main St. Union. Memorials may be given to charity of ones’ choice or the family will choose a charity at a later date.
