She was born July 24, 1934 in Louisville, Kentucky to Charles and Lola (Kessinger) Schagene.
She enjoyed reading, including her Bible. She was a devote Christian. She enjoyed her TV programs. She also worked as a cook for Florence Nursing Home.
She is survived by her children, George (Glenna) Ashley, David (Dawn) Ashley, Michael (Tammy) Bray, and Jolie Bray; her 15 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, siblings, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Bray.
The visitation will be from 1 to3pm on Sunday, May 21, at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy., Marengo. A memorial service will be at 3pm.
