Jonathon “Jonny” Isaac Groscop, 20, passed away on April 28, 2020. Born in Miles City, Montana, Jonathon lived close to his Grandma Jo. When his mom was studying for finals at Concordia College, she would meet Grandma Jo in Bismarck, ND and she would kidnap Jonathon while his mom studied for her finals. Ever since then, Jonathon enjoyed any opportunity he had to spend with Grandma Jo. Later Johnathon and his mom moved to Illinois for a job opportunity in Insurance, where Jonny grew up until his passing. Jonny was very talented in sports, receiving the Silver Slugger bat award for being the best hitter on his team in little league. Jonny's Mom and Dad would load up the kids and head out to Montana as Jonathon would not miss an opportunity to go to Family Reunions with his Groscop side of the family. Jonathon enjoyed traveling to St. Joe Michigan, (Aunt Barb's house) to watch the Blossom Parade and hang out with family. Jonathon looked forward to going to Minnesota to spend time with his uncle Rob, Aunt Alicia and his Groscop cousins and he had a blast hanging out with them. Jonny looked forward to Christmas Eva at Granma Carol's with his Schroeder Cousins and Christmas Day with the entire immediate and extended Schroeder Family every year.
Jonathon (Jonny) was the loving son of Michael and Kristene Schroeder. He was the devoted brother of Aaron, Ryan, Lauren, Liam and Nathan. He was the cherished grandson of JoAnn Groscop and Carol Schroeder. Jonny was the dear nephew of Beth (Tony) Nykolajcuyk and Rob (Alicia) Groscop. He is survived by many, many cousins. Preceded in death by his grandfathers: James Groscop and Dennis Schroeder.
