

Julian Cassiano Jr. (age 77), of Huntley, IL passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024. After a long battle with kidney disease and heart issues, he died peacefully in his sleep.
Julian was born in Cotulla, Texas on February 9, 1947. After moving to Illinois as a child, he began his elementary education in Schaumburg, IL and later moved to Marengo, IL. Julian started his first business, J. C. Auto and Truck Repair in Marengo in 1985 and became a well-known member of the community. Julian enjoyed working on and buying cars and loved anything that he could tear down and rebuild. He passed that love to his children. He enjoyed building homes and fixing items around the house.
He fiercely loved his children and loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He felt pets were essential to any home and most recently trained his beloved black lab, “Bear” to be a smart and dedicated guard dog. Julian was a storyteller and loved to travel. Later in life, he met his love, Kay who stated she was so impressed with how much he loved his family, she promised to provide the same love and concern. His family will miss him dearly and are very grateful for the time spent with him.
Preceded in death by his parents Julian Cassiano Sr. and Elena Cortez Cassiano. He is survived by his partner Kay Stopka, sister Mary (Jerry) Cassiano Petke and Thelma Cassiano Sanchez, son Nick (Kim) Cassiano, daughter Desiree (Don Meza) Cassiano, son Justin (Liane) Cassiano and Amber (Axel) Stromberg, as well as grandchildren, Brandon Cassiano, Jadelyn Neukirch, Tiffany Cassiano, Benjamin Cassiano, Sienna Walaszek, Samuel Cassiano, Ayden Walaszek, Coral Walaszek, Aubri Walaszek, Kylee Cassiano, Haylen Stromberg, Jaydin Cassiano and Gavin Stromberg.
We will miss you, Dad.
