Kenneth Loeffel

Ken devoted 35 years of service to the Illinois Tollway, retiring as Superintendent of Maintenance. After retirement he worked as a Superintendent at Marengo Ridge Golf Course.

In 2002, Ken married his second love, Becky Dalby. He also found joy in his time on the golf course, cheering on the Cubs and Bears, and relaxing while watching his favorite shows. Above all, Ken will be remembered as a true gentleman.

Ken is survived by his wife, Becky; his children, Cindy Bergland, Tim (Terri) Loeffel, and Tammy (Dick) Johnson; his four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Gene (Karen) Loeffel and Peg (Charles) Brand. Ken was preceded in death by his first love, Delores, and his parents.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11am on Wednesday, July 15 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy, Marengo. The service will be at 11am. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
