LeRoy "Butch" Schroeder Jr.

He was born June 25, 1962, the son of LeRoy and Grace (Kampling) Schroeder Sr. On September 3, 2005 he married Gayle Young.

Butch was a member of Laborers Union Local 1035. He had a scrapping business, B & G Recycling that he and his wife enjoyed running. He loved fishing, gardening, antiquing, and most of all hanging out in his garage. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife, Gayle; his daughter, Katie (Joe) Lukowski; his stepchildren, Tanya Geng and Chris Geng; his granddaughter, Lilly Volpe; his mother, Grace Schroeder; his siblings, Chris (John) Wendt, Larry (Evie) Schroeder, Donna (Greg) Jensen, Marcia Schroeder, Denise (Rob) Blahnik, Andrew (Charlotte) Schroeder, Ginny Proffitt, and Kelly (Jon) Greer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and step-daughter, Trina Geng.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 4pm on Sunday, June 14 at Joe’s Place, 19716 E. Grant Hwy, Marengo.

Memorials may be made to the family for the Lilly Fund to go towards his granddaughter’s educational expenses.
