

Loraine M Bihlmaier, 81, of Augusta, Georgia passed away on September 29, 2021 in Woodstock, Illinois. She was formerly a resident of Marengo, Illinois. She was born in Flagstaff, Arizona on June 9, 1940 to the late Fred and Marie Ohnleiter. She went on to marry the late John A Bihlmaier on June 15, 1957 and raise their four children, Debra (Robert) Hughes, Dottie (Mike) Brocato, Michael (Tamera) Bihlmaier and Ted (Dawn) Bihlmaier.
She is survived by her 4 children, her grandchildren Cheryl (Andy) Hughes-Obispo, Jason (Sabrina) Hughes, Kimberly Hughes, Laura (Leo) Parsons, Joel (Stepheny) DeSerto, Brian (Meagan) DeSerto, Michael (Kelsey) Bihlmaier, Matthew Bihlmaier, Andrew (Kelly) Bihlmaier, Christopher Bihlmaier, Timothy Bihlmaier, Benjamin Bihlmaier, Lucas Bihlmaier, Cheyanne Bihlmaier, and Miranda Bihlmaier, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Her brother Ronnie (Vivian) Ohnleiter and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Robert Ohnleiter, and sister-in-law Martha.
Loraine had a green thumb. She loved flowers, plants, especially orchids and purple violets. She enjoyed spending her time playing the organ, building miniature dollhouses, raising her finches, and cooking, canning and creating many family favorite German dishes.
Together, Loraine and John built a jewelry business. She spent time selling Avon products. She was a CNA and was employed at Valley Hi Nursing and Rehab. Together they owned and operated John's Super Video in Marengo, IL before moving to Augusta, GA and retiring.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on October 7, 2021 from 4pm until 8pm at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E Grant Hwy, Marengo, IL 60152. The family has invited those in attendance to wear bright colors in honor of Loraine.
