Lorraine Julia Harrington, 81, of Hernando Beach, FL. formerly of Sycamore, died Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in Florida. She was born March 31, 1933 in Chicago to William and Catherine (Porter) Freling. She married William Edward Harrington on September 16, 1953 in Texas. She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening. Her daughters and grandchildren were most important to her.
She is survived by her 5 daughters: Janet (Derek) Gregory, Joan (Larry) Curtiss, Jacqueline (the late Michael) Harrington, Julia (Norman) Busch, Jean (Steven) Matuszewski; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and her sisters Rose and Irene. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1994, and her brother Bill.
Visitation will be from 3-8 pm on Wed, Oct 22 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy Marengo. Visitation will continue Thurs, Oct 23 from 9 am until the 10 am funeral service at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 5N939 Meredith Rd. Virgil, IL.
