Phyllis E. Render

Phyllis E. Render, 85, of Marengo died Tuesday October 11, 2011 at Centegra Hospital – McHenry. She was born October 1, 1926 in Chicago to Frank and Mae (Vlasak) Baldocchi. On February 7, 1948 she married Anthony Render in Chicago . Phyllis worked at McDonalds in Marengo for fifteen years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for many years where she was active in the choir, the Rosarians, and served as Dismissal Minister. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, gardening, and participating in political debates with her family.

She is survived by her children; Wayne (Anita) Render, Debbie (Bill) Eagan , Mark (Candice) Render, eight grandchildren, two great-grandsons, a sister Betty Duff, and a brother Warren Baldocchi.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a sister Beatrice Vesky.

Visitation will be from 3-8 pm on Friday, October 14 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy. Marengo. Funeral mass will be at 10 am on Saturday, October 15 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 323 N. Taylor St. Marengo. Cremation rites to be accorded. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in her name to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
