Rick always had a smile & a kind, positive welcome for everyone he met. I don't think I ever saw him without that smile on his face. His departure leaves us with a bit of a shadow in the place where his sunshine would emanate. Thank you Rick, for having made our town a warmer, friendlier place with your presence. RIP my friend, your spirit still lives, thanks for your smiles & buoyancy.

"I am truly saddened by this tragedy.. Another good man gone, and only the good die Young...
Rick was always such a nice man. Anytime I saw him, we would just chat about anything and everything. I'd walk into Shell, he would always say, with a smile"Hey what's up Mike" like he knew me as my own brother. I never got to really talk with him outside of his workplace, but he always made me feel acknowledged, welcomed, and accepted. Always with über high spirits.. This is the guy who was taken far too soon.. Rick was a true inspiration for all to embrace and grow from the impression this American has left.. "Peace be with you Brother"

I knew Ricky from our childhood growing up in Eagle Heights, as he and the Wise Family lived behind us. I will always remember his youthful exhuberance, quick smile and outlandish comic persona. Though I never knew him as an adult, from what I've read he grew up to be a loving & caring Soul without losing that charisma that made him such a blessing. Rest in Peace My Friend & Eternal Light

I remember in June of last year when I came home for leave I stopped in shell to get me a drink and a pack of smoke. I ended up staying for 2 more hours telling him about how the marine corps was. He was cracking jokes and was just an amazing person to be around. He always seemed to make people smile. I know he made my day every time I went in there. He will be missed.

Rick was a blessing To anyone who crossed his path. I never knew him real well but when my husband, Ken Dennison, passed away six years ago, Rick came to his visitation. It meant a lot to me that he would take the time to do that. My family was so impressed and I was comforted by the fact that he would take the time to do that. He will be missed greatly by everybody
