Sharon Lee Carr

Sharon Lee Carr, age 86, of Marengo, Illinois, passed away on May 15, 2025. She was born on October 24, 1938 to Raymond & Louise (Buyers) Roath in Elgin, Illinois. She grew up in Elgin with her sister Pat. She was married to the love of her life, Norman Carr, for 71 wonderful years. They raised four children, Debra, Daniel, Scott & Kevin, in Elgin, then Marengo, Illinois. She worked at So Good Barbeque Pit for many years, making many friends along the way.

Sharon was fun-loving and adventurous: she loved riding her motorcycle. But more importantly, she loved living at home with her family: gardening, flowers, and living on the farm. She loved animals, from raising them on her farm to doting on her beloved pets. Though she was a private person, she loved her family with her whole heart. She was a blessing to all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, Norman Carr and her son Kevin Carr.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her sister; her children, Debra Zimmerman, Dan Carr & Scott Carr.
