Tamara Lynn Misiak-Privett

Tamara Lynn Privett (Misiak), 64, passed away unexpectedly on September 23rd, 2026. Tammy was born August 17th, 1962, in Chicago, IL to Edna and Thomas. She was the beloved little sister of Renee. She loved growing up in the city, and she had so many good times with all her friends. She had a special bond with her nieces and nephews that won't be forgotten.

Tammy made her home in Marengo, Illinois where she raised her two children, Daniel and Laura. She loved those kids so much. She worked at the Marengo Post Office as a letter carrier and spent many years getting to know and be a part of the community. She worked through all weather conditions and was very vocal about it. After 23 years, she retired.

Tammy made many friends in that small town she called home. Tammy loved Joe. She built a beautiful life with him. She loved her family, but she especially loved being a Nana. Her grandkids had a huge part of her heart. She enjoyed being home, floating around her swimming pool, good tunes, an iced cold Corona and the Chicago Bears.

Tammy is survived by her best friend and other half Joseph Misiak, Mother Edna Naughton, her sister Renee Santellano, her brother-in-law and really good friend Manny Santellano, Her children Daniel and Laura Privett, her five grandchildren Alexander and Mackenzie Rogers, Jameson Ball, Elsie and Knox Privett, so many friends and her German Shepard Thunder.

Please join Tammy's family October 11th from 12pm to 3pm at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy, Marengo, Il 60152. In honor of Tammy's love of football, the family ask you to wear your favorite Chicago Bears gear if you have it. It just happens to be the Bears vs Packers later that day.
