Therese "Terry" Nowakowski (Nee Bejger), 76, of Marengo passed away September 4th, 2016 in McHenry surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Chicago to Sigmund and Pearl Bejger. Married for 57 years to Andrew Nowakowski. She is survived by her brother Ziggy; 5 children, Dee(Novak), Joe, Nancy (Mark Sisson), Patti (Marty Gibbons) and Sharon; 10 Grandchildren, Eric, Renee, Sara, Allison, Emily, Annika, Arla, Grace, Jess and Sam; 4 great grandchildren, Payton, Caitlin, Caroline and Case; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Terry was a registered optician for over 40 years and had a love for photography, a passion she has shared with her grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service at the Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy., Marengo, Illinois, on Wednesday, September 7th from 5 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
