Thomas Larry Shadle Sr.

Thomas was the proud father of seven children and the cherished grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. His legacy will continue through the many generations.

Thomas found enjoyment in the simple, lasting comforts of everyday life. He loved Westerns and old music, took a quiet interest in plants and birds, and followed his favorite teams—the Cubs and the Bears—with faithful enthusiasm. He also valued time spent woodworking, fishing, and hunting, and he was content in the familiar ease of watching television.

Tom leaves behind his children, Thomas L. Shadle Jr., Rebecca S. Landinger, James L. Shadle, Jennifer P. Gilley, Tamara C. Ransdell, Andrew L. Shadle, and Abigail E. Cartland; his 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Carol, Kathy, Daniel, David and Peter.

There will be a gathering from 1 to 4pm on Sunday, June 28 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E Grant Hwy, Marengo.
