Timothy Anthony Murphy Sr.

He was born March 16, 1947 in Chicago, IL to Benard and Alice (Connors) Murphy.

Timothy went on to marry the love of his life, Gwendolyn Faye McKendrick on November 15, 1965.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Sacred Heart Council 13476, who loved fishing, hunting, and fixing anything he could.

His keen sense of humor will be missed by many.

Survivors include his wife, Gwen, children Elizabeth (Kenneth) McCorkle, Alice (Wade) Petriak, Charles (Maria) Murphy; 7 grandchildren, and several loving nieces and nephews.

He is preceded by, his son, Timothy Murphy Jr., parents, siblings, Benard Murphy Jr., Margaret Scott, Joseph F. Murphy, Betty Uselton, and John Murphy.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9pm on Thursday, June 5 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy., Marengo. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am on Friday, June 6, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 323 N. Taylor St., Marengo.

Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
