Wayne started his career young working with his family at Aten's So-Good Bar-B-Q in Union. He spent some time patrolling the streets of Union as an Auxiliary Police Officer. He then was part of the transportation services until his retirement. One of his biggest joys was being part of the The American Gold Wing's Association Chapter D for 40 years, becoming the Membership Director for 28 years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his chapter to numerous rallies.
Wayne is survived by his sister Dolores (Aten) Bartley, brother-in-law Dale Hall, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Beverly (Aten) Hall.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 15, 2022 from 9:30 am until 11:30 am at St. John's Lutheran Church, 6821 Main St, Union, Illinois 60180. Funeral service immediately following visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to JourneyCare Hospice and American Gold Wing Association, 914 Melugin Grove, Compton, Illinois 61318.
