

Akwasie David Roberts was born on September 1, 1980 in Brooklyn, New York to Pauline Roberts and David Wade. Akwasie spent his early childhood in the New York borough of Queens, just foot steps away from his Great Grandmother, Grand Aunts, Aunts, and cousins with whom he spent many happy moments. He migrated to Florida with his dad David where he attended elementary school and high school. After high school Akwasie pursued a career in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. In 2000 Akwasie and Shelly, were blessed with the birth of their precious daughter Alani Princess Roberts. Akwasie met Carla, they were soon married and relocated to Georgia. Akwasie returned to New York to strengthen the bond with his mother. Akwasie recently returned home to Florida reuniting with his family and many friends.
Akwasie lived by the mantra “LIVE HARD, PLAY HARD”, his intensity was evident in every aspect of his life.
Because of his deep abiding spirituality Akwasie leaves a legacy of generosity, loyalty and love for which he will always be remembered.
Akwasie is survived by his mother Pauline Roberts, father David Wade, daughter Alani Roberts, step mother Bernadette Simmons; Sisters Simone Wade, Anna-Kay Wade and step sister Jameela Simmons; Brothers Dwayne Fowles and Bryan Wade; Grandmother Veronica Henry, Grand Aunts Vernicia Campbell and Merna Nalty, Godmother Winifred Beckford, god-sisters Abeba and Kedar Beckford, godbrother Kwame Beckford; and a host of cousins and friends.
