
I clearly remember Amy telling me to go back to school for occupational therapy and then mentoring me through my college and subsequent professional career. This is how our friendship began! I was 9 months pregnant with my first daughter and Amy invited me to this blowout Christmas/ Birthday sock party; Christmas was one of her fav holidays! I distinctly remember Arthur telling me not to break my water on the carpeted areas! Amy leaned in and said, have that baby wherever you want, we got 3 tubs if needed! Amy was the first visitor to see my first born at the hospital and the only adult who was able to hold my second baby without causing a screaming tantrum! She was there for the good, bad and ugly times in my life. When she had no advice, she sat along side me, because that’s what friends do. While myself and the girls are grieving for our/your loss, selfishly I’m happy that I can chat with Amy 24-7! Amy, I hope you enjoy your never ending supply of Diet Coke! I remember,
Riding bikes all over LI using your made up hand signals.
Wearing hefty bags to stay dry during the rainy walk-a-thon.
Joking about our middle and high school teachers.
Playing in the band.
Blowing bubbles for the dog at Hartwood Acres.
Cigar parties.
Helping you move when I was 9 months pregnant.
2-3 hour phone conversations.
Sarris ice cream.
Sarris chocolates.
We have supported each other through middle and high school, college, marriage, jobs. We have shared pregnancies, raising kids, losing parents and grandparents, becoming grandparents, lots of fun times and illness.  Although we lived in different cities,  our friendship stayed strong. 
Thank you for being my friend, the world was a better place with you in it. Miss you already!!
