

Annette was born in The Bronx, NY to Joseph and Vita Pugliese on September 4, 1940. She was raised in Port Chester, NY and was a graduate of Port Chester HS. She married Paul M. Pellegrini Jr. from Harrison, NY on April 23, 1961. They bought their first home and lived with their two children Paul M Pellegrini III and Gina Pellegrini Cummins in Harrison until 1972 when they moved to Margate, FL where they expanded their family, taking in six foster children (Steven, Linda, Tammy, Troy, Jeffrey, Johanna).
Later she married Bill Ryan on February 12, 1994, lived in Tamarac, FL and expanded her family once again adding his four children (LouAnn, Kathleen, Regina, William Jr.) and nine grandchildren to her family.
Family meant everything to Annette as well as her unwavering strong Catholic faith. She was an active, involved member of society generously volunteering her time as a Troop leader, religious mentor. She watered and nurtured all to grow into better versions of themselves. Her career involved her many talents and included being a legal secretary, owning her own store “Trails End”, starting the CYO at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church, started the Columbiettes at St. Malachy and a group called Mary’s girls where she lived. She was best known as an Activity Director at Wynmoor, Holiday Springs and Carnival Cruiselines. She was a prolific writer of music, poems and family history leaving behind a treasure trove for her family. She loved dancing, winning some dance-off competitions, choreographed for local theater and even taught Zumba classes. Music was her language and always brought her joy. She was a self-taught pianist and entertained her family, friends and strangers. Annette was always moving to the music.
Annette is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Vita Pugliese, brother Samuel Pugliese.
Annette is survived by her children, Paul M. Pellegrini III and Gina Pellegrini Cummins; sister, Dona Zemo; grandchildren, Jacalyn Bustamante, Nicolas Bustamante and Anthony Cummins; great-grandchildren Jayda Bustamante and Amina Charitable, Messiah and Eliana Bustamante, Akio and Apollo Cummins.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 30, 2026 5:00-7:00 pm at Kraeer Funeral Home in Margate, FL
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 31, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. Vincent Catholic Church, Margate, FL. Burial will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Arrangements are by Kraeer Funeral Home, Margate, FL.
Friends and family are invited to attend a luncheon immediately following the burial at Lakes of Carriage Hills Clubhouse 4985 E. Sabal Palm Blvd, Tamarac, FL
