Geraldine Ann Callaghan also known as “Aunt Geraldine” was born on August 20, 1941 in Staten Island, New York and passed away on March 17, 2018. She was the oldest of six children and named after her father, Gerald. She received her Bachelors of Nursing in 1980 from Florida International University. She worked as a nurse in the ER Department in Hollywood, Florida until 1998. She retired and settled in Parkland, Florida to be closer to her family. Even then, she continued helping others as a home health care specialist in various capacities. She was known for her tough exterior and many who knew her thought she was the strongest person they ever met. But for those lucky enough to know her well and spend time with her, they knew what an amazing, loyal, smart, funny and independent person she really was. Whenever you needed her, you could find Aunt Geraldine at home with her beloved Yorkie Andy. Her death will leave an enormous hole in the hearts of those that loved her dearly and she will be missed forever by her family
