James Willard, 90, of Parkland, Florida passed away peacefully at home on September 22, 2026. A widower, patriarch, and friend, he leaves behind a sprawling and loving family: 5 children, 14 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren who were the absolute joy of his long life.
Jim was born on February 16, 1936, in Murfreesboro, TN to Wiley and Ruby Willard. He moved to Florida as a young man, where he built a steady career in the Construction Industry and met the love of his life, Bobbie. Jim and Bobbie shared 40 wonderful years of marriage before her passing in 2001. Jim was an avid Air boater and loved being in the Everglades at his camp. He also loved being at home and having family and friends stop by.
Jim was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bobbie; his brother Chuck; his sisters Paulene and Joyce, his grandson Chris.
He is survived by his grateful and devoted children: Kenny Willard (Carol), Bruce Willard (Jane), Danny Willard (Liane), Billy Willard, and Joyce Willard (Guy).
He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, also Eileen and Celeste who will forever be a part of the family. They will all carry the warmth of his legacy in their hearts, alongside many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Kraeer Funeral Home, 1 N SR-7, Margate, FL 33063. Visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 am for family only, with service to follow from 11:00 to 1:00pm for friends and family.
Interment is to follow at Deerfield Beach Cemetery, 380 NE 6" Avenue, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441 at 2:00 pm.
