Janet Whitmore

Whitmore, Janet Morann, 82, a resident of Coconut Creek for 44 years, passed away on Palm Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Northwest Regional Medical Center with family and friends by her bedside. She was born on July 28, 1930 in New Haven, Connecticut. She was a telephone company "Pioneer" retiring from Bellsouth in 1980. She was a long time member of the "Does" of the Pompano Beach Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. 1898. Mrs. Whitmore was a parishioner of St. Vincent Catholic Church. She enjoyed her church, cooking, crafts, and most of all spending time with her family, friends and faithful dog, Max. She is survived by her beloved sister, Elizabeth Zarnowski, of Plantation: nephews, Michael Zarnowski, of Big Pine Key, James (Patricia) Zarnowski, of Norcross, GA, Scott Zarnowski, of Casselberry: great Nephews, Ryan, and Shawn Zarnowski: great niece, Alexis Zarnowski, of Norcross, GA (her God-children). Mrs. Whitmore was predeceased by her late husbands, Joseph Morann and Wesley Whitmore. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 8:30 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vincent Catholic Church, 6350 NW 18th Street, Margate, FL at 11:30 am. Burial will be at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1500 S. State Road 7, North Lauderdale, FL. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice By The Sea, 1531 W.
