Although I didn’t personally know Mirtha, I had the privilege of knowing her daughter and witnessing the depth of her love and devotion. Over the past few years, I watched her daughter visit the nursing home every single day bringing laughter, tears, and treasured stories from their past. Through her daughter’s eyes and heart, I came to know Mirtha as someone who was deeply cherished and whose presence will continue to live on in the love she instilled. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.

Lisette, lamento la pérdida de tu mamá, si bien siento que ahora estará mucbo mejor, sin sufrir. La conocí poco, pero siempre fue una persona amable y se ve que se querían mucho. Las fotos están muy lindas y son un gran recuerdo de los buenos momentos compartidos, un abrazo!

Although I only met her a year and a half before her passing, I feel as though I came to know her in a very intimate way.  Mrs Catalano (as I referred to her), was a vibrant,  funny, feisty, strong-willed individual who led a very interesting life. 

She was full of stories and anecdotes that she was always willing to share. I was fortunate enough to speak her native language. Because of that, we often taught each other new words which made my visits with her very rewarding. 

Each time we talked about an experience she'd had, I wished I'd known her in her youth.   The fact that her spirit still showed who she had always been, blessed me in a special way. I will always remember her fondly and with appreciation for how willing she was to be herself with me.  May she rest in peace.

These memories are as precious & beautiful as Mirtha. Lisette, now I see where you got your beautiful & contagious smile. God was with your mom & gave her the strength to escape Cuba. You have that strength in you to remember her as you fulfill the rest of your life with Jeff. You have my deepest condolences from the bottom of my heart.

Su dulzura hizo que en poco tiempo  ganará un espacio en mi corazón.  La recuerdo con mucho cariño.

She was such a classy lady, always with a bright smile that could light up any room. I cherish the memories we created together during our childhood, from our time at school to those Sunday afternoons spent at the horse races, filled with laughter and joy. Your mom, Mirtha, always welcomed us with open arms and a warm heart, and a lot of patience… 
Her kindness will never be forgotten. Please know that I am here for you during this difficult time. Sending you all my love and deepest condolences.

Liz hermosa, Me acuerdo de tu mamá siempre sonriente, feliz, llena de luz, que vida tan llena de amor, de momentos especiales y de la alegria que se refleja en cada imagen. Se nota cuánto amó y cuánto fue amada.
Estoy segura de que su alma está en paz, rodeada de la misma ternura que sembró aquí. Y también creo con el corazón que un día volverán a encontrarse en el cielo, donde el amor nunca se acaba.

Siento mucho la pérdida de tu mami. Se que es un momento muy difícil pero se que ella está descansando al lado de tu padre. 
Desde allí estará contigo siempre de la misma manera que lo hiciste tú con ella .

May you always remember her for her kindness and caring. During our childhood I remember Señora Mirtha always there  for my dear friend Lisette in every possible way. Always delicate and elegant.

Mi muy querida y especial Lisettica, Ahora empieza tu verdadera adultez o al menos eso es lo que dicen. Tus padres ahora del otro lado te darán toda la fuerza y el apoyo...ahora estas energías estan ahi disponibles para ti. para que las tomes. Son fuertes y poderosas. Sigue haciendo tu trabajo en esta vida de seguir su ejemplo, sus valores y tambien tu vida propia; y una vez que este trabajo sea hecho, y espero que te demore mucho tiempo (hasta los 100 anos al menos! ), entonces partas de nuevo a nuestro hogar y te reencuentres con ellos con todas las riquezas y avances y luz que habrás ganado aqui en este plano llamado tierra. I had the pleasure of meeting Mirtha through my dear friend Lisette through Faith, sister by chosen. I could immediately feel how loving Mirtha was, she had a smile on her face that lit up the room.  I could picture you dancing in heaven with your beloved husband.  You will live on through Lisette who adored you with her whole heart & soul.
