The image of Uncle Ro that will remain in my memory is him laughing, story telling while sitting in his recliner drinking beer 🤍 His love and warmth will be greatly missed, and it’s hard to imagine what life looks like after he has so deeply impacted so many.

As one of his older cousins we shared many wonderful memories earlier on in Trinidad and later on in Florida whenever I visited. He always made you feel very special and welcomed you into his home with a joie de vivre that never changed as the years went by. On my last visit I wasn’t able to stay as long as I would usually do and on leaving he said to me “Brother Naz, we need to have a proper drink!” I promised him that we would do so but the Supreme Being had other plans. Man proposes and God disposes. As we all do, he had his challenges but while admirably dealing with them he enjoyed life to the fullest. To his wonderful wife and children and the rest of his extended family, I offer my sincerest condolences. His physical being is leaving us but he will live forever in our memories. Rest in Eternal Peace, my dear cousin. Goodbye until we meet again.

Rohan was a wonderful human being, a great family man and a true friend. I've know Rohan more than 20 years and never remember him without a smile or kind words. We worked next to each other and I can remember many happy moments and conversations. 
Its too young to go and he will be remembered forever in my heart. I know he had a great life full of family and friends and for that he was blessed. 
I will always keep his memory alive, he was a long part of who I am.

Ro, you were more than just an acquaintance.  We were family. I know you are with angels now, no more suffering and pain. Your stories, jokes, laughter and warmth will always live in our memories.  You were a good soul and will always be remembered and missed 💙 Rest in Peace!

The first time I met Rohan and Cheryl was at a Christmas party they had at their house a few years back. I went with my cousin Sandy who was friends with them. When we walked in Rohan welcomed us with a great warm smile which made me feel immediately welcomed. I remembered he had recently gotten a Ninja airfryer and was telling us about how great it was and all the things it could do. His raving review inspired me to get one for myself which I still have and use up to this day. He was one of a kind.

I am glad I got the opportunity to meet Mr. Sookoo. Beyond being a welcoming host, we shared an interest in cars and that lead him to invite me to his machine shop where I got to see alot of what he did. He spoke to me about the parts he designed for high performance cars and showed me the process. It opened my mind to other opportunities in work. Although life changes led me somewhere else, he was inspirational in some previous endeavors I took on and appreciate him for that.

Ro - made the lime, the real deal - great laughter, great food, much fun. Will be missed. T

The person with the biggest heart and the biggest smile- this was Rohan. We have been visiting his home for the past 30 years. Our children grew up together and thought they were cousins until they grew to know that their bond was stronger than blood. We have so much fond memories with Ro - going to Key West or the lake or Jupiter Beach. Sometimes it was just lazy weekends by Karen or waiting for the XFinity guy. My condolences to Cheryl, Carissa and Reyhan.  We hope to support you guys as you walk forward with Ro in your hearts

Uncle Ro was such a warm, jolly, loving person. When he visited Trinidad, he would sometimes pass in by my parents or we would see him at Ma or Uncle Russ’s home. He always had a kind word, a jolly laugh and sometimes we would share many conversations about life and all types of topics. He also warmly welcomed my family and I at his home in Florida  and was always happy to take us shopping especially to Burlington, his favourite store! My husband, Shiva and him bonded over this! I would always remember his infectious, loud and jolly laugh. Our sincerest condolences and love to Aunty Cheryl, Rayhan, Carissa and to the entire Sookoo family from all of us. May God grant you all peace and mental clarity in this time of sadness. May his soul rest in peace always.

Will be remembered as a cheerful,jovial and humble gentleman. Was always welcomed at his home. Beautiful memories. May the almighty encircle  Cheryl and the kids with his comforting arms. Rest in eternal peace Rohan.

Uncle Ro will be greatly missed. He was a lively person with a great sense of humor and a very giving personality. He and his family always welcomed us to stay in their home anytime we visited and I have very fond memories of growing up with his wonderful children Reyhan and Carrisa. I remember falling asleep in his house as a child to sounds of late night laughter among him, Aunty Cheryl and my parents. He will be greatly missed and I pray for his wife, children and all other extended family to be guided through this difficult time. My sincerest condolences to you all.

Rohan was the person with the biggest heart and smile. He was warm and welcoming and his love has no boundaries. My children says that he was the best uncle. My wife says he is the funniest. For me he was a brother.  He was just the best and god now has a new angel up in heaven.  It now having a party up there to welcome him. Condolences to Cheryl, Reyhan and Carissa. May god continue to bless you all with all the goodness that Rohan has accumulated. Rest in peace.

I am deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Rohan Sookoo. My heart goes out to you and your loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

Rohan, my childhood friend was an extraordinary individual who touched the lives of many with their kindness, He was always jolly and happy, compassionate  and generous. His legacy will live on through the countless memories and experiences shared with family and friends.

I’m so sorry for this immense loss. It was evident that he was full of humor, kindness, and love. He was such a great and devoted father—deeply involved in his children’s lives.
