Stephanie was born on July 8, 1934 in New York City to George and Yolanda Russo. She graduated from Julia Richmond High School in New York City where she participated in their internship program with New York Telephone Company. She was immediately employed by them upon her graduation and enjoyed a very productive and successful career there.
After living in New York City her entire life, after retirement, she and her partner, Connie Augusta, decided to move to the warm weather and beaches of southern Florida. As a devout Catholic, there wasn’t a day that went by where she didn’t say her rosary and stay consistently active in her favorite charities.
She greatly enjoyed dancing and music. Her love for music spanned from Neapolitan Italian to Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and the music of the 1950’s. She also remained an avid New York Yankees fan in good times and bad. In her spare time, she could be found at her favorite recreation - the Casino where she loved to play the slots and be surrounded by the lights and sounds of fun and laughter.
Stephanie is preceded in death by her father, George, her mother, Yolanda, her brother Louis, his wife Thomassina and her sister, Anne.
She is survived by her partner, Connie Augusta and her brother, Gregory and his wife Deborah, five nieces, three nephews and her great nieces and nephews.
Due to her love of charities, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.kraeermargate.com for the Russo family.
