Theresa Merendino

Theresa Merendino, 83, of Boca Raton, Fla., passed away Saturday, Aug. 30, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph. While we grieve in losing her Earthly presence, we rejoice that she is now at peace in God’s loving arms and that she at long last is reunited with her husband. Theresa was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on June 30, 1931. She was a fashion designer in New York City and dedicated her life to raising her four children and 10 grandchildren. Theresa was recently honored for her 10-year volunteer service at Hospice By the Sea in Boca Raton. Theresa is survived by her children, Carolyn (Glenn) Henderson, of Fort Pierce, Fla.; Barbara (Pete) Valerioti, of Coral Springs, Fla.; Robert (Ellen) Merendino, of Jamestown, N.C.; and Cathy (Scott) Drake, of Boca Raton, Fla.; grandchildren, Danny, Michael, Merritt, Shaye, Dustin, Jeana, Katelyn, Ryley, Shannyn and Alec. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, in the Chapel at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1500 S. State Road 7, North Lauderdale, Fla. 33068.
