Thomas G Miller

Miller, Thomas G., 97, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016 in Lauderdale Lakes. Thomas was born on January 20, 1919 to Thomas and Marie Miller. He proudly served our country as a member of the United States Army Air Corps, fighting in World War II. Thomas retired Senior Executive of the former Gulf and Western Company. Thomas enjoyed being a "snowbird" with his wife, Joan. They spent the warm months in New Jersey and the cooler months in Florida. Thomas was a dapper man of manner and grace, best remembered for his love of his grandchildren from both marriages. Thomas leaves behind his loving wife and devoted caretaker, Joan; son, Thomas (Anne-Marie) Miller; daughter, Carlyn Schmiedl; step-children, Deborah (Joseph) Cutrone; Laura (John) Tornincasa; Beth (Peter) Burger; and Andrew Kotarsky; grandchildren, Karen (Jaime) Schuh, Christopher (Janet) Schmiedl, Stefan (Nicole) Schmiedl, Matthew (Cassie Allen) Tornincasa, Jonathan (Alicia) Tornincasa, Nicholas (Ashley) Tornincasa, Victoria Tornincasa, Joshua Kotarsky, Jourdain Kotarsky, Alexandra Burger, and Andrew Burger; great grandchildren, CJ Schmiedl, Haley Schmiedl, Avery Schuh, Kelsey Schuh, Archer Tornincasa, Cecelia Tornincasa, GiaBella Tornincasa, Aiden Cramer, Ariana Tornincasa, Angelina Tornincasa and Emma Kotarsky. His legacy will also live on through the lives of many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ann Miller. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 11:00 am at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1500 South State Road 7, North Lauderdale. He will be missed by all who knew him.
