

Ann Southern Rose, age 95, of Kennesaw, passed away on December 13, 2025. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of more than 67 years, Jack Rose, her mother, Lilly Southern, father, Virgil Southern, brothers Edgar, Dennis, Larry, William, and Jerry Southern, sisters, Margaret and Pat Sothern, nephews, Dennis and James Southern, and nieces, Kim and Sandra Southern. She is survived by her son Terry (Debbie) Rose, granddaughter, Emily Rose (Stewart Bounds), grandson, Michael Rose (Autumn Jordan), niece and caregiver, Kathy Jordan (Randal), and many other loving nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Woodstock, GA, Ann lived a life marked by kindness, integrity, and deep devotion to her family and community. She built a fulfilling career at both Arrow Shirt Company as a seamstress and at the Cobb County School System as a Food Service Worker, where she ultimately retired. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 19, at Mayes Ward Dobbins Historic Marietta Chapel. Visitation will take place on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, and again on Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service. Interment will follow the funeral service at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery. Ann’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her unwavering love for her family and the joy she brought to every life she touched.
