Barbara Turner Brown, age 89, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026. She was born on February 25, 1937 in Silver City, Mississippi, daughter to the late Lucian Leon Turner and the late Esther Lee High Turner. Barbara was a member of Prays Mill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, David Brown (Lauren), Russell Brown (Ashleigh); grandchildren, Craig Brown, Lindsay Morris (Brennan), Cameron Brown, Meredith Brown, LeAnn Schobloher; great-grandchildren, Emmett Morris, Jordan Morris.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was also preceded in death by her husband, James Lewis Brown; daughter, Emily Schobloher.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 in the chapel at the funeral home with pastor Dylan Joyner officiating.
Interment will be at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia.
