Barbara Ann Rodgers

Barbara was born September 6, 1948 in Austell, Georgia the daughter of the late Hoyt Lee Gowder and the late Margie Butler Cook. She worked for 30 years for the Dean of Architecture at the Georgia Institute of Technology as an Administration Assistant. Barbara enjoyed quilting when she was younger. She loved to read, was a fabulous baker and enjoyed taking trips to Florida. Barbara attended Christ Way Baptist Church.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 57 years, Timothy “Tim” Fredrick Rodgers of Temple, son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Paula Rodgers of Temple, brother, Rodger Gowder of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, grandchild, Alex and Ashley Rodgers of Temple, two great grandchildren, Isaac and Mason also survive.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at J. Collins Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of J. Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Wendell Patterson officiating.

Interment will follow in Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, GA
