Brenda Joyce Southern, 84, of Powder Springs, GA, died on Monday, October 26, 2026. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Mayes Ward Dobbins Macland Chapel in Powder Springs, GA. Interment will follow the service at Kennesaw Memorial Park. Ms. Southern is preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Ollie Mae Anderson; husband, James Southern; son, Ricky Southern; and grandson, Taylor Goodson.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Yvonne Cameron (John, Jr.), of Kennesaw, GA; son, Eddie Southern (Torrie) of Dallas, GA; daughter in law, Christian Droz (Steve) of Brunswick, GA; brother, Harry Anderson (Susan) of Marietta, GA; seven grandchildren, John Cameron, III, Kayla Stephens, Ben Vaughn, Amber Conley, Breanna Holland, Emma Clinard, Sophia Droz; twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
