

Edward Frederick Jordan, 65, died Sunday, December10, 2017 at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, A memorial Mass will be held Friday, December 15 at 10:00 AM at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Marietta, Georgia.
Mr. Jordan was a tooling engineer with Lockheed Martin, and a beloved adjunct professor at Kennesaw State University (formerly Southern Polytechnic). He earned his bachelor’s degree from Southern Polytechnic Institute and enjoyed bathtub racing held on the campus, winning several of the races. He accomplished many things in life, including seeing NASCAR at Indianapolis, which gave him great satisfaction. He and his wife (finally, after much waiting) of twenty-nine years, Shirley enjoyed raising their son, Nathaniel, and teasing one another. Edward lived deeply, forgave easily, and was a loyal husband, father and friend. He had a wonderful sense of humor that many enjoyed.
Mr. Jordan’s father, Jesse J. Jordan, preceded him in death and was waiting to welcome him home. Mr. Jordan’s mother Irma Teza Jordan, College Park, sisters Loraine Barrett (Mike) of Marietta, Carolyn Daniel (Bob) of Atlanta, brothers Julian Jordan (Sue) of Roswell, Warren Jordan of College Park, and numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and friends will be honoring him and his accomplishments with both love and sadness at the memorial service on Friday. Inurnment will be taking place at Kennesaw Memorial Park
