Eugene W. Turner

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta with Rev. Jeff Jones and Rev. Zack Moffatt officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.

Skip was a 1952 graduate of Marietta High School and graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Management in 1957 from Georgia Tech. Skip loved to travel with his group of friends known as “Tour and Travel”.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jane Newton Turner of Marietta; half-brothers, Wendell Turner (Lee) of Chamblee, Sidney Turner (Bonnie) of Blairsville, Kent Turner (Ellen Anderson) of Boulder City, NV; five grandchildren, Eugene Turner IV, Jackson Swan, Laura Warren, Mike Lamb, and Sean Lamb; four great-grandchildren, Jillian and Charlotte Swan, Benjamin and Ellie Warren. He is preceded in death by his son, Eugene W. Turner III.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cobb County Humane Society, 148 Fairground Street SE, Marietta, GA 30060 or to your favorite charity.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
