

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday May 16, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church in Marietta.
A rare native Atlantan, Jill grew up in Buckhead and was a member of the Buckhead Girls Club. She attended the Westminster Schools in Atlanta and graduated from Mount Vernon College in Washington D.C. (now George Washington University) with an Associates of Arts degree. Later, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Georgia State University. Other certificates include Bethel Bible Teachers Program, Bible Study Fellowship, and the Marietta Police Citizens Academy.
Jill retired in 2005 from over 10 years in the non-profit sector, working for the American Heart Association and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
She is pre-deceased by her parents, Andrew Jackson Shuford and Geraldine Smith Shuford, both of Buckhead. Jill is survived by her husband, William T. Fogarty of Marietta, her daughter Jerri Shuford Toland of Kennesaw, her son Ronald Howe Toland, Jr. of Raleigh NC and her grandson James Carson Toland Brown of Cobb County. She is also survived by her husband’s children, grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.
Jill was a lifelong Presbyterian. She joined First Presbyterian Church of Marietta in 1997. She was active in youth work, taught Sunday School, was a Stephen Minister and Leader, and a Deacon. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and relaxing in her screened porch.
