Joann Buggay, age 82 of Danielsville, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2026. Funeral service will be 2 PM Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta. Burial will follow in Kennesaw Memorial Park.
Mrs. Buggay was born in Bowden, Georgia and was a homemaker. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Buggay was known for her “Pitt Bull” mentality-“she wouldn’t let go”! She had a rough childhood and used that to become the best person she could be. She created a good life from a bad past and was very devoted.
Mrs. Buggay is preceded in death by her husband Stephen Cannon Buggay, Sr, and childen Robert Dean and Daryl Scott Buggay. She is survived by her sons Steve Buggay, Jr. (Tammy) and Kenneth Wayne Buggay (Candace) ; sister Gail Cook; grandchildren Judah, Johanna, Georgia, Jacob, Joseph, John, Amanda, Dorothy, Anna, and Shane; and great grandchildren Kristina, Eli, and Mia.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11 AM until 2 PM.
