John Lynwood Maddox

John Lynwood Maddox, age 37, of Atlanta, Georgia passed away on November 5, 2025. John was born in 1988 to Carol and Lynwood A. Maddox Jr. Following his graduation from Walton High School, John obtained his degree in Management Information Systems Technology from the University of Georgia.

During his years with Equifax and Cox Automotive, he took advantage of numerous opportunities to travel the world.

He was preceded in death by his Grandfathers: Stanley Lynne Holcomb and Lynwood A. Maddox, Sr., and his Uncle Stanley Mark Holcomb.

John is survived by his Parents, Carol & Lynwood A. Maddox, Jr.; his Sister, Rachel Catherine Maddox; his Grandmothers, Jean R. Holcomb and Bonnie F. Maddox; his Aunts and Uncles, Deborah Maddox Shrader (Larry), Tommy Lee Maddox (Monica) and Nancy Maddox Kearse (Bernard) and his infamous First Cousins: Rebekah Shrader Gifford (Will), Brittany Shrader Wheelus (Kyle), Abigail Shrader Brown (Harry) Caleb Shrader (Diana), Hannah Maddox Phasavang (Peter), Mark Maddox, Joseph Maddox, Samuel Maddox, Cecil O. Pharr IV, and Dr. Chelsea Pharr Hagopian (Tom).

The family will receive guests between the hours of 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the Mount Paran North Church located at 1700 Allgood Road NE, Marietta, GA 30062.

A Funeral Service will immediatetly follow at 10:00 AM at the same location.
