Joseph L. Scoggins

Joseph “Joey” Leon Scoggins, 49 of Marietta, GA. passed away on March 28, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3rd at Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home, Historic Marietta Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta, GA. Joey is survived by his mother, Martha Scoggins of Marietta, GA; brother, Jimmy L. Scoggins (Jean) of Duluth, GA; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Joey is predeceased by his father, Jimmy L. Scoggins. Joey had a creative spirit who loved music, antiques and the Christmas season. Joey worked as a manager at Grazie, where he found a love for fine dining. He also loved to travel with his family and friends. He was known as being a great helper to all those who needed him and he will be missed by his family and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. before the service. Flowers are appreciated and the family also has asked for donations in Joey’s name to be made to the epilepsy foundation.
