Nannie Kathleen Turner McConnell, 95 of Marietta died on Thursday, April 26, 2012.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Chapel in Marietta with Rev. Mitch Roginsky officiating. Burial will be at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta, Georgia.
Mrs. McConnell was a life long residence of Cobb County. She was a member of Lost Mountain Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #492, Dallas, GA; and worked in the Cancer Society for many years. Also when she was younger and physically able, she was involved in many church and community activities.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Grant McConnell; son, Denver McConnell, Sr. and a granddaughter, Beth Still Barrett.
Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Marion & Glenn Still of Powder Springs; three sisters, Myra Petty of Marietta; Madge Quarles of Kennesaw; Ellen Hutcheson of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren, Les & Candy Still; Rodney & Pat Still; Greg Still; Tandy Barrett; John & Dianne McConnell; Denver McConnell, Jr.; Warren & Julie McConnell; ten great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
Contributions may be made in loving memory of Kathleen McConnell to the American Cancer Society-Cobb County Unit, 1825 Barrett Lakes Blvd., Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Burial arrangements under the direction of Kennesaw Memorial Park.
