Margaret G. Gill

Margaret VanStraten Gill died peacefully in her sleep September 29, 2016. Born in Shiocton, Wisconsin, January 1, 1921, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie, her son, Jimmie, and her grandson, Brett.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Transfiguration Catholic Church in Marietta and a Funeral Mass following at 2:00 p.m. with Monsignor Pat Bishop officiating. Interment will be held at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.

She is survived by her children, Peggy Sandlin (Ollie), Connie Gill (Tom Smith), Charles Gill (Diane), and Joe Gill (Janet). Margaret has ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She has been a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church since 1959 when she and Bobbie moved to Marietta.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockfill Pike, Suite 300, Rockfill, MD 20852.
