

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, 180 Church Street, Marietta, GA 30060. Interment will take place following the service at Kennesaw Memorial Park.
Margaret was born at home on December 23, 1921 in Piedmont, West Virginia. She is the second oldest of ten children. She attended Catholic school in Western Port, MD, just across the Potomac River from Piedmont. She graduated from high school in 1940 and went to work at Fairchild Aircraft in Hagerstown, MD. While working at Fairchild, she met Albert Marion Wynn (a.k.a. “Georgia”), a southern boy who was the love of her life. Margaret and Georgia married on May 6, 1943. Georgia then joined the Navy and the relocated to his hometown of Carrollton, GA. After Georgia was honorably discharged, they settled into life in Carrollton. Georgia went to work at Mandable Cotton Mill. Margaret was a wife, homemaker, and mother to Marilyn, born 1947, and Albert, born 1948. They moved to Marietta, GA in 1954 where Georgia went to work at Lockheed Aircraft. Margaret later went to work at Rich’s department store in the drapery department where she worked for nine years until her husband became ill. Margaret later went to work at Dunaway Drugstore where she worked until it was bought by Eckerd Drugs. She retired from Eckerd Drugs in the late 1980’s. She made her home at Bickford Living for the last eleven years where you could always find her at the puzzle table with her best friend Janelle. She was blessed with a large family whom she loved and who loved her dearly.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Wynn Garrett and her husband Mike of Macon, GA; son, Albert M. Wynn Jr. and his wife Connie of Social Circle, GA; sister, Adelaide Whiteman of Hagerstown, MD; sister, Eloise Bryan of Cane ridge, TN; brother, Anthony “Pingy” James of West Salem, OH; six grandchildren, Missy Sanders and her Husband Jeff, Michelle Garrett-Lee Kim and her husband Gary, Billy Wynn, Mardi Oliver and her husband Kirk, Marie Becham, Amy Macon and her husband Nathan; thirteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Albert M. “Georgia” Wynn Sr. and six siblings.
The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday before the service.
