

Mary Eugenia Clayton, 67, of Powder Springs, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 7, 2016. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, January 11, 2016, at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home & Crematory Macland Chapel in Powder Springs with Rev. Dr. Tom Davis officiating.
Mrs. Clayton is survived by her husband, Bruce Clayton; two daughters, Stacie Opitz (Rob) of Kennesaw, Bre Carlson (Mike) of Canton; her mother, Mary Smith of Kinston, NC; sister, Beadie Dianne Beasley of Kinston, NC; brother, Herman Edward Smith, Jr.(Suzanne) of Willmington, NC; her three grandchildren that were very special to her, Michael Opitz, Zachary Opitz, and Matthew Carlson; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, an infant child and an infant grandchild, Christopher.
She was an avid animal lover and especially of her three dogs, Daisy, Koko and Harley.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00PM – 8:00PM at the funeral home.
