Michael Workinger, 66, of Acworth, GA, passed away July 18, 2015. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on August 25, 1948. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Barnett and his father, Verner Workinger. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Ellen Workinger; daughter, Megan (Aaron) Austin of Acworth; son, Kent (Mandy) Workinger of Dunwoody; grandson, Adam Austin; sister, Ann (Tim) Tully of Indianapolis; step father, Max Barnett of Indianapolis and two nephews. Michael was well known in the area for announcing various sports at KSU, Pope HS, Hillgrove HS, Pebblebrook HS, Shorter College, UGA, GA Tech, and Poly Tech.
