Peggy Dobson Aycock, age 93, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026 surrounded by her family. She was born on November 27, 1932 in Rome Ga. Peggy was the daughter of William Coley Dobson and Ruby Ellen Pilcher.
She grew up in Rome where Peggy married her high school sweetheart - Bob “Bullet” Aycock and after serving time as an Air Force wife, they settled in Marietta, Ga. Bob proceeded her in death in 2007.
Peggy was a longtime and faithful member of Eastside Baptist Church, where she had been a member since 1966. She taught Preschool at Eastside Preschool where she was a beloved 3 year old teacher.
She was also a founding member of the Beverly Hills Garden Club and remained an active member for over 50 years.
Peggy will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her church, and the friendships she formed throughout her life.
Peggy is survived by her daughter Lynn Aycock, her daughter Lori Lyons, son in law David and her beloved grandson Hunter Lyons, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Peggy loved her family, her cats, gardening and her birds and not always in that order.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Eastside Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 1-2:00 prior to the service. Burial will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery.
