

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.
Bob was born in Wichita, Kansas to William Robert Blakely and Wilmot Westbrook Blakely on May 22, 1939. He went to school at Marietta High School and graduated from Auburn University. He married Alice Beverlin Cohran on August 24, 1963 in Paulding County. He served in the Air Force as an air traffic controller and as part of the Second Mobile Communication Group. After the military, he worked as an aviation consultant. Bob served as a Deacon in the Newnan Presbyterian Church and enjoyed being a pilot and flying small aircraft.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, William Robert Blakely, his mother, Wilmot Westbrook Blakely and his son Daryl Warren Blakely. He is survived by his wife Beverlin Cohran Blakely, his son David Alexander Blakely and his brother, Warren William Blakely.
Memorials may be given in Bob’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association. The family wished to extend our sincere thanks to The Meadows Home for their care of Bob in his final days.
Arrangements are being handled by Mayes Ward Dobbins Historic Marietta Chapel.
