Ronald Eugene Anderson

With love, gratitude, and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Ronald Eugene Anderson, who passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026, at Oak Harbor Healthcare in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, at the age of 77.

Ron was born on July 27, 1948, in Marietta, Georgia, to Donald W. Anderson and Betty Jo Hunnicutt Anderson. He lived a life marked by service, creativity, humor, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys that make life meaningful.

Ron carried the values of dedication and hard work throughout his life. Following his military service, he worked as a transmission mechanic and later as a roll-off container truck driver, earning the respect of those who knew him through his strong work ethic and dependable nature.

Ron found happiness in many pursuits. He enjoyed playing guitar, painting, gardening, fishing, golfing, cooking, and watching classic westerns. Whether tending a garden, casting a line into the water, preparing a meal, or strumming a favorite tune, he embraced life’s everyday moments with enthusiasm and appreciation. His creative spirit, quick smile, and easygoing nature left a lasting impression on family and friends alike.

Above all, Ron treasured his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence brought comfort and laughter to those around him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Harriett “Micki” Anderson; his son, Ronald “Ronnie” Anderson; his father, Donald William Anderson; his mother, Betty Jo (Anderson) Howard; his brother, Steve Anderson; and his step-brother, Wayne McBurnett.

He leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory: his daughter-in-law, Cheryl (Anderson) Holland, widow of his son Ronnie; his brothers, Mike Anderson (Melinda), Terry Anderson (Marsha), and Scott Anderson (Lisa); his granddaughters, Tiffany Bennett and Kenna Anderson High (Hunter); and his great-granddaughters, Aubrey Bennett and Bailey Bennett, along with many extended family members and friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him.

Though Ron’s earthly journey has come to an end, the memories he created, the lessons he taught, and the love he shared remain woven into the lives of those who knew him. His family finds comfort in the assurance that he is now reunited with those who went before him.

A graveside service celebrating Ron’s life will be held at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia on Friday August 7, 2026 at 2:00PM

Ron will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of his family and friends.
