Sharron Osterhoudt Smith

Sharron Osterhoudt Smith, age 85, of Marietta, Ga, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026, after a courageous battle with dementia. A strong believer and a steadfast prayer warrior, her deep faith guided her through every season of life and served as a rock for everyone who knew her. She lived a remarkably full and adventurous life sharing her love for Christ and ministering to others first and foremost, traveling the world, embracing new experiences with an open heart, and surrounding herself with countless dear friends. Above all, her greatest joy was her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Allen Smith, and is survived by her former husband, Frank Cecil Owenby Jr. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy in her three daughters and three sons in law Cheryl Smith Quintana (Ralph), Melina Owenby Hall (Billy) and Jana Owenby Read (Deon), seven grandchildren, Megan Quintana Christian (JP), Weston McIntosh Read (Tai), Zachary David Quintana (McKenzie), Bryson Owenby Read, John Carson Read, Houston Delaney Read, Gracie Love Read and six great-grandchildren. She shared a uniquely deep, tender, and special relationship with each and every one of them, leaving them with beautiful memories of her boundless love. She will be profoundly missed by all who were blessed to share in her journey.

A celebration of Sharron's life will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 6:00 pm at Marietta Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm also on Friday.

Burial will be at Kennesaw Memorial Park on Friday August 21, 2026 @12:30pm
