Mr. Ken Upchurch, age 61, of Marietta, GA died Saturday, June 7, 2014. Funeral services will be 2 PM, Wednesday, June 11th in the Chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta with Pastor Steve Veale officiating. Interment will be at Kennesaw Mountain Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Upchurch was raised on the family farm in McDonough, GA. He was a graduate of Griffin Tech. Mr. Upchurch retired from I.B.M. after 22 years of service as an I.T. Systems Architect. He attended West Ridge Church and was an avid photographer, Hot Wheel collector and enjoyed softball.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda G. Upchurch of Marietta; sons, Timothy D. Upchurch and Phillip A. Upchurch both of Marietta; brother, Dennis Upchurch of Pulaski, TN; sisters, Dayna Mahaffey of Ellijay and Robyn Ryan of Cumming; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM, Tuesday, June 10th at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta (770) 424-4924. Burial arrangements under the direction of Kennesaw Memorial Park.
